How service data is used.
A guide to the information involved in a FortEdge account, its protected domains and payment processing.
Account and domain setup
The service uses your account email for sign-in verification and recovery. For each domain you connect, FortEdge processes the domain name, origin address, ownership verification and selected settings so it can route traffic and apply your policy. After a trial domain is removed, FortEdge retains a keyed fingerprint of its name and a trial-use receipt to prevent repeat trials.
Visitor traffic
Protected requests pass through FortEdge before reaching your web server. The live traffic view shows visitor IP addresses, the HTTP method, time and protection decision for each observed request. Country and network information may be resolved by a configured IP data provider. Access to customer traffic views requires an authenticated account.
Browser challenges
Sites that enable a third-party challenge load the selected verification service. The challenge provider processes information from the visitor’s browser to assess the request. The providers available on FortEdge include Cloudflare Turnstile, Google reCAPTCHA and hCaptcha.
Payments and cookies
Card details are entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout. Crypto invoices are processed by NOWPayments. The portal uses payment references and status updates to activate purchases. Session cookies keep your account signed in.
